Long Lane is a wellness hotel and private members club located in West Sussex, England. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and all services offered through it, including hotel bookings, restaurant reservations, membership applications, waitlist registration, and any other services we make available.

By using this website or making a booking or application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.

2. Definitions

In these Terms:

  • "we", "us", "our" refers to Long Lane 2 Ltd
  • "you", "your" refers to the person using this website or purchasing our services
  • "Services" means all services available through this website, including hotel accommodation, restaurant bookings, membership, spa and wellness treatments, events, and any ancillary services
  • "Booking" means any reservation, application, or purchase made through the website
  • "Consumer" has the meaning given in the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — an individual acting outside of their trade, business, craft, or profession

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

4. Hotel Bookings

4.1 Making a Booking

When you make a hotel booking through our website, you will be asked to provide accurate personal and payment information. By completing a booking, you are entering into a contract with Long Lane 2 Ltd for the provision of accommodation services. All bookings are subject to availability. Receipt of a booking confirmation email constitutes acceptance of your booking and forms a binding contract.

4.2 Pricing

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP). We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors prior to confirmation of your booking. If a pricing error is identified after confirmation, we will notify you promptly and offer you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

4.3 Payment

Full payment or a deposit (as specified at the time of booking) is required to secure your reservation. We accept the payment methods displayed on the website at the time of booking.

4.4 Cancellations and Amendments

Cancellation and amendment terms vary by room type and rate. Please refer to the specific terms displayed on the booking page at the time of reservation, which form part of your contract with us.

4.5 Consumer Cooling-Off Rights

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you ordinarily have a 14-day right to cancel a distance contract. This right does not apply to accommodation contracts for a specific date or period, as provided by Regulation 28(1)(h). Your cancellation rights are therefore those set out on the booking page at the time of reservation. This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 should we fail to deliver the service as described.

4.6 No-Show

If you fail to arrive on your scheduled check-in date without prior cancellation, we reserve the right to charge the full cost of your booking in accordance with the rate terms applicable at the time of booking.

5. Restaurant and Dining Reservations

5.1 Making a Reservation

Restaurant reservations may be made through our website. By confirming a reservation, you are entering into a contract for dining services at Long Lane. Please refer to the booking page at the time of reservation for any applicable deposits, cancellation terms, or pre-payment requirements.

5.2 Dietary Requirements and Allergies

If you or any member of your party has a food allergy, intolerance, or dietary requirement, you must inform us at the time of booking. Whilst we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your needs, we cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment.

6. Membership

6.1 Application

Submission of a membership application does not guarantee acceptance. Membership is offered at our sole discretion and is subject to availability and our assessment of your application.

6.2 Membership Agreement

If your application is successful, your membership will be governed by a separate Membership Agreement provided to you at the time of offer. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and your Membership Agreement, the Membership Agreement shall prevail in relation to your membership.

6.3 Membership Fees

Membership fees, payment schedules, and any joining fees will be clearly set out in your Membership Agreement. We reserve the right to adjust membership fees on reasonable notice in accordance with that agreement.

6.4 Cancellation of Membership

Cancellation rights applicable to your membership will be set out in your Membership Agreement. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

6.5 Waitlist

Joining our waitlist does not constitute an offer or acceptance of membership and does not create any contractual obligation on our part. We will contact waitlist registrants in due course but cannot guarantee membership availability or timing.

7. Spa, Wellness, and Other Services

Bookings for spa treatments, wellness experiences, and other services are subject to availability and the specific terms displayed at the time of booking. You are responsible for disclosing any relevant health conditions prior to undertaking any wellness or treatment service. Please refer to the booking page for applicable cancellation terms.

8. Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. In particular:

  • Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be provided with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and at the agreed price
  • Where we fail to meet these standards, you may be entitled to repeat performance or a price reduction
  • We cannot exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law

9. Our Liability

Subject to clause 8:

  • Our total liability to you in connection with any booking or service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that booking or service
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of our services or website
  • We are not liable for losses resulting from events beyond our reasonable control (see clause 13 — Force Majeure)

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, branding, design, logos, and graphics — is the property of Long Lane 2 Ltd or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit any content from this site without our prior written consent.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website. By using this website and making bookings or applications, you acknowledge that we will process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

12. Accuracy of Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on our website is accurate and up to date. We reserve the right to correct errors at any time. Images and descriptions of the property are indicative and may not represent the exact current state of the venue, which is in its pre-opening development phase.

13. Force Majeure

We shall not be in breach of these Terms, nor liable for any failure or delay in performance, where such failure results from events outside our reasonable control, including acts of God, fire, flood, extreme weather, pandemic, government action, or failure of third-party suppliers. In such circumstances we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and offer a reschedule or, where performance is no longer possible, a full refund.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of such sites, and a link does not constitute an endorsement.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your booking or use of the site is the version that applies to your contract with us.

16. Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your experience, please contact us at hello@longlane.co.uk. We will respond to all complaints within 5 working days and aim to resolve all disputes fairly and promptly.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any specific booking terms, your Membership Agreement (where applicable), and our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Long Lane 2 Ltd in relation to your use of our website and services.
